What will your job look like

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab 
  • Certifications in relevant testing or cloud technologies (e.g., ISTQB, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure certifications). 
  • Experience in testing data engineering pipelines and DevOps environments.
  • Strong proficiency in using test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git). 

    • Requirements

    • Developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases. 
    • Performing data validation and verification against business requirements  
    • Perform manual testing of complex data solutions and ensure that they meet the required functional, usability, and performance standards  
    • Work closely with developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to understand technical requirements, deliver timely feedback on test results, and ensure smooth integration of testing processes into cloud-based environments.  
    • Identify, document, and track defects in cloud platforms, data pipelines, and other components, ensuring quick resolution in collaboration with the development team 
    • Lead and mentor junior test engineers, promoting adherence to best practices, efficient testing methodologies, and continuous improvement in testing capabilities. 
    • Maintain accurate documentation, including detailed test plans, test cases, and defect reports, providing regular updates to the Delivery Manager and stakeholders 
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in data engineering, cloud technologies, and testing practices, and proactively implement improvements to testing frameworks and methodologies 
    • Experience in agile delivery methodologies, CI/CD practices 
    • Any knowledge of the following is desirable: Teradata, Azure pipelines, Azure DevOps and Linux.
